TERMS AND CONDITIONS NW GR LTD T/A GLAZING & ROOFING SERVICES – PMC GLAZIERS EDINBURGH – GLAZIERS EDINBURGH – EMERGENCY GLAZIERS EDINBURGH
BY USING THIS SITE and or doing business with us / accepting a quotation and or going ahead with any works laid out in our quotations YOU ARE AGREEING TO THESE TERMS OF BUSINESS.
1. Unless otherwise stated, the quotation/invoice is subject to our acceptance of the order at the time it is placed. It is based on the cost of material, labour and transport now ruling and is subject to amendment on or after acceptance to meet any rise or fall of such costs. If this estimate is accepted outwith the 30 day terms our prices may have risen and may incur a further charge will you will be notified of before we proceed to order.
- The estimate/invoice May be subject to further supplementary terms and conditions, as detailed on any additional paperwork, i.e. window specification contracts.
- Goods claimed to be defective must be emailed to us immediately at office@nationwidegr.com and if it is agreed by us that they are defective they will be replaced or repaired free of charge or, at our option, allowed for credit, provided that such credit shall not exceed the value of the goods as invoiced and provided that the buyer shall return the goods in the same condition as they were supplied. Goods claimed to be not of suitable quality because of any defect in manufacture will not be considered unless it is intimated to us within 5 days of manufacture. No liability can be accepted for any damage or injury to property or persons arising directly, or indirectly from any defect in the goods or for any costs losses or expenses incurred or sustained by you the customer in connection with such goods prior to or subsequent to such defect becoming apparent.
- SPECIAL ORDERS (MADE TO MEASURE WINDOWS, DOORS, GLAZING)
Orders for goods made or obtained specially e.g cut to size glazing units, upvc / timber windows and or doors including composite doors or similar cannot be cancelled.
- Deposits
Upon us receiving a deposit we will order the materials for the job and after the ordering of materials / scaffolding the job cannot be cancelled and we will not refund the deposit unless we have to cancel the works for any reason ourselves.
- DELAYS – If a works date is given on our estimate this must be reckoned from receipt of actual working details and official order and may vary at that time dependant upon our commitments and that of any other manufacturer involved. Every effort will be made to start the works in the time stated, but if from any cause delivery or despatch is suspended or delayed we cannot be responsible for any loss or damage suffered by the purchaser. We cannot be responsible for delays in delivery from other manufacturers or delays by rail or road transport carriers.
- We will not usually order materials that we have not ourselves takes sizes of. If we do order materials based on customer sizes, we will not be held liable for any wrong sizes, colour or styles of products.
- Our quotation does not include for any work not shown in our quotation.
- Variation in sizes, quantities or processing will be charged Pro-Rata at current rates, this may also incur increased charges due to a variation in price category. Where quantities ordered are less than those stated on our estimate additional charges might be made for production costs.
- In some instances the coating of ‘Low E’ glass can give a translucent effect when viewed in direct sunlight, this is a positive proof of the coating being present, and not a defect in the glass. This translucent effect is not a defect in the sealed unit and therefore the sealed unit would not need replacing and payment must not be withheld.
- Our liability ceases as soon as the glass is installed and or delivered to you. (the customer) if the glazing is damaged not by us on site during and or after a job we will not be liable for charges arising from such events.
- Faulty goods shall not form the subject of any claim for labour costs or other expenditure incurred by you the customer and us the company shall not be responsible for any loss or damage arising out of any such fault. Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question. To the full extent allowed by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable to you/or any third party for any consequential or incidental damages (including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, wasted expenditure, loss of privacy or any other indirect, special or punitive damages whatsoever that arise out of or are related to your order.
- All articles covered by Warranty, i.e. Factory sealed units, are subject to terms and conditions laid down by individual Manufacturer’s Warranty whether supplied only or glazed. Guarantee term on sealed units 5 years providing proper care of timber windows are taken in the time frame to stop water ingress in to the units cavity. Upvc windows require no maintenance to be in keeping with the guarantee. if windows are not maintained properly and thus causes a unit to defect this will not be covered in the guarantee.
- All warranties offered by this company are in good faith and limited to the repair or replacement of the product, as deemed by us (or our supplier). We cannot accept any claims for loss of profits, cost of labour on site, costs to return products to our works, etc.
- Thickness, sizes of glass and method of installation stated on enquiries does not necessarily imply their adequacy. Once the glass is installed, we cannot accept any liability for damage or injury to property or persons or for any costs, expenses or losses incurred by the Buyer or their clients. Building designers are responsible for stating the maximum wind load pressure that the glass is expected to withstand, to enable us to quote correct thickness and sizes.
- We reserve the right to sub-contract any fixing should the necessity arise.
- The installation of double-glazed sealed units will not itself eliminate condensation. This is dependent upon the environment within the property. We cannot guarantee condensation in your property will be eliminated.
- Shall the need for a refund arise we aim to have this processed within 7 working days minus any costs incurred by us. If we have come out and taken fit sizes ( second visit) and you cancel after this you will be charged £90.00 for the visit this will be deducted from any deposit you have paid and or charged
- Should any damage arise to your property from our works we shall look to our insurers to repair this damage if above 500£ GBP. Time frame of repairs are in the hands of our insurers this is out of our control.
- When we start the works in your home we expect the are were we are working to be free of furniture and or other. If we need to do an extensive move of your household items we will charge you for this at £40 per hour minimum of 30 minutes chargeable. Please make sure to clear items from the windows and or doors we are working on.
- Delays, From time to time delays occur if a delay occurs we seek to remedy this in the fastest time frame possible. We will not accept cancelations due to delays and will not refund on the basis of a delay.
- We are not liable for any material and or labour charges you incur to repair or replace any defective materials should you choose to get a new product yourself and not go through our guarantee process.
- Guarantee periods set out below
Upvc windows – 10 years on frames, 5 years on glass, 3 years on mechanisms and ironmongery
Upvc Doors – 10 Years on frames , 5 years on glass, 3 years on mechanisms and ironmongery
Double Glazed Units – 5 Years for misting up internally
Secondary Glazing Systems – 5 years
Silicone Seals – 12 Months
Ironmongery, locks, handles, ect – 3 years
Timber Windows – 20 years (providing proper maintenance has been carried out)
Small Works Guarantees vary as per your written quote / invoice
All guarantee claims must be in writing via email to office@nationwidegr.com we will not accept a guarantee claim over the phone.
YEARLY MAINTENANCE PACKAGES TERMS
Our yearly maintenance packages cover the following
1. Roof plans
2. Window Plans
3. Commercial plans
Each package covers different aspects of your property e.g roof, windows & doors depending on which package you choose this will effect what is covered in your plan. This will be detailed in you plan.
Plan exclusions: Yearly maintenance packages
Deliberate Damage of products.
Upvc window / door frames being broken during a break in resulting in a whole new frame required and not just the glazing unit/s.
Any property / belongings from inside the property / outside the property.
Limits apply per package depending on which package you purchase.
Business to business Transactions Payment terms.
Business to business transactions are expected to be paid same day unless other wise pre agreed with us before works commence maximum term we will extend credit is 30 days from the date the invoice is raised. Payments outside this time frame will incur a 5% interest fee per month.
GUARANTEE EXCLUSIONS
Our guarantees do not cover deliberate damage, Vandalism, Accidental damage, Storm damage, Adverse weather damage and or Fire damage. Windows not supplied by us and supplied by the customer and only installed by us are not covered in the guarantee periods above and we accept no liability for faulty products supplied by the customer for installation.
